During a long distance sled dog race it is possible to develop a special ability: to recognize dog teams from far away. You may remember the silhouette of the mushers, his/her dress, the kind of their body language, their sleds, the color of their sled bags, their hats, their sponsor stickers or even their dogs ...
After some races and after some years, you are able to identify a dogteam which is coming towards you from far, far away.
But it is also a special moment, to see a well known dog team leaving a checkpoint at a long distance sled dog race, like Inger-Marie Haaland in Grimsbu at Femundlopet 2010.
